Workshop responsibilities will include:

• Keep working areas clean and tidy throughout the day
• Keep storage areas neat and well organised
• Adhering to all H&S policies and procedures

• Loading and unloading vans / lorries / trucks
• Wrapping staircases for delivery
• General maintenance and upkeep of the workshop
• Preparation of timber parts – gluing & sanding

Site responsibilities will include:

• Loading and unloading vans / lorries / trucks
• Organising and loading tools / equipment in and out of vans / site
• Lifting involved in the role

• CSCS card preferred

• Preparation of staircase parts using a variety of woodworking machinery including table saw, cross cut saw, over hand planer, thicknesser, bandsaw and spindle moulder
• Candidate would be expected to read drawings and select and size timber economically from stock material to create the parts needed.
• Have experience in the safely of using machinery and keeping machines maintained and safe at all times.
• Salary dependant on experience.
• Previous experience within the staircase industry preferred
• Working as a team is important to us

Details:

We are a bespoke timber stair company based in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire. Our process consists of carrying out site surveys and then draw/design in CAD and Solidworks. Once approved by the customer we apply machining to all the parts in the CAD model to be manufactured in the workshop. Most parts get machined on a 5-axis CNC machine. We are looking to train someone to get the parts from the CAD model onto the machine with the correct tooling using CAD/CAM software.

We are looking for someone methodical, focused and enthusiastic. We will provide all training and the right candidate will have the opportunity to progress and learn other parts of the business also including SolidWorks and StairBiz software.
